„Sailing the Mare Nostrum“ – von Mundofonías
We begin with a tribute to two recently passed away Iberian artists, the Portuguese fadista Carlos do Carmo and the Catalan artist and cultural activist Jordi Fàbregas. We continue with a Mediterranean journey that takes us through Catalan rumba, Algerian rai and Greek rebetiko, with musical suggestions from the book „Mediterráneo, un mar de músicas“, continuing with more tunes and new releases of funky-Sicilian and electro-Bulgarian echoes and lots of good Greek musical roots.
